The Coopers married in 1948 and currently reside in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. They collaborate on many pieces.
Ronald carves and Jessie paints unusual pieces of fanciful heaven and hell subjects. Ronald was almost killed in a snowy night car accident. He was in extreme pain and literally was in a living hell.
Jessie paints on furniture, boxes and cow skulls. The artistic outpouring has brought new meaning and life to the Coopers and their work is at once serious and joyous.
